Mr. Alket Hyseni, participated in the World Law Congress held in Santo Domingo by the World Jurist Association, represented Albania at one of the most important global justice forums, which brought together over 1,500 representatives from more than 60 countries. Among the attendees were His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain, the President of the Dominican Republic Luis Abinader, and other distinguished international figures who reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to strengthening the rule of law and promoting the values of justice worldwide.
In his speech, Mr. Hyseni shared with the audience the historical transformation of Albania, emphasizing the country’s transition from one of the harshest totalitarian regimes of the 20th century to a democratic state, built upon courageous reforms, particularly in the field of justice.
As he pointed out, democracy is not a destination, but a daily endeavor, constantly tested by corruption, instability, and the temptations of power.
In conclusion, Mr. Hyseni expressed his pleasure and honor that Tirana will serve as the host city for the World Law Congress in 2027, thereby reaffirming Albania’s unwavering commitment to strengthening the rule of law and promoting international cooperation.
